Celina Pickleball Midnight Madness Tournament Series

Description
This is a mixed doubles advanced level pickleball tournament.
There are 2 brackets (A and B) with 4 doubles teams assigned to each bracket (8 teams, 16 players total). Teams will play 3 matches against each of the other teams in their bracket. Thus all players are guaranteed at least 6 games.
The teams in each bracket with the best record (most matches won and most points won) will play for 1st and 2nd place overall. The 2nd-place teams in each bracket will play for 3rd and 4th place overall.
There will be small awards for the 1st and 2nd place teams overall.
It will be HOT. Please bring plenty of cold water. Some light snacks will be provided.

Nets on all 4 courts will be up by 6:45pm for tournament players to use to get warmed up.
Cost
- $30 per player.
- Must be a member of the Celina Pickleball "Midnight Madness Players" GroupMe group in good standing to participate.
- Playing in any one of the Midnight Madness tournaments guarantees you a free spot in the annual invitation-only Celina Pickleball BANG BANG tournament October 22-23.

Format
- Two 4-team brackets (8 teams, 16 players total).
- Three round-robin rounds where each team plays one match against each of the other teams in their respective bracket.
- All matches are 2 games to 11, win by 2 with a 3rd game to 7 if the teams split the first 2 games.
Officiating
- All matches will be self-officiated by the players on the court.
- Players must document the match (player names and game results) on the provided tournament score sheet.
- All calls, including keeping track of the score, are the responsibility of the players.
- Please be as fair and considerate as possible.
- If a team is unable to make a call, the call must favor the opposing team.
Tournament Referee
- Disputes should be resolved by the teams on the court if at all possible.
- Otherwise, either team may call for the tournament referee (Brenda Graves) to make a final decision.
Timeouts
- One 1-minute timeout per game is allowed.
- Players are responsible for keeping track of their timeouts and keeping the timeouts brief.
- From time to time a train will pass by the courts and it is LOUD. As a courtesy to all players, please suspend play briefly until the train passes.
